gvc Hegi Center

Winterthur, Switzerland

As unusual as the gvc church is, so is its construction. Within a few days its wooden elements were assembled.

Church and Cultural Center gvc

Low-budget church with an open concept that allows for mutiuse

This laminated timber frame construction with pre-insulated facade elements was probably the most economical of all the projects we planned. At the time, a hall for 450 people, stage, technician's balcony, translator's room, chapel, office and restrooms were built with 400 Fr./m3.

The simple, industrial style represented the spirit of the community.
